anchored at 6:30 off peddar...all alone. boat pulls up 150 feet away. as he's about to set i mention...hey any chance of moving....i got 500ft out and when it floods our rods wilbe likely be over your anchor line? reply...go **** yourself. great. curse vs curse he sets it. low and behold....into mid flood rear rod check---got his anchorline....got in about 130 ft before i had to gash it.

well curse some more and well. if your close enough to read the k number i think thats too close.

"boat name" knighthawk. 14k38326 profisher about a 22ft with verado pod. ASSHOLE.

karma will perhaps get him next time when another thoughtless jerk does the same to him and they get tangled/bump hulls/lose gear. Hopefully he'll learn, but perhaps the hard way.

bananas i saw you on the way out with optimist....i halted up bout 1.5 mile back. i was loosening up the rotator for the 2 lbers i can tell you that. all i can say is that hopefully people have the courtesy to move if asked-

Yup! I'm stocked with bottle rockets and air bombs that fly 300 ft and go boom for idiots like that! Dolts are everywhere out there! Next time your in combs trev you should pick some up at the gas station... They really seem to get the point across quickly for both halibut fishing and salmon tailgaters! I'm sure a few of the boys have seen me fire them off in sooke during the summer! :)

Peter Griffin freakin sweet.jpg

It sure is nice not having those problems, although their can be two sides did you mark that spot the day before and then show up ? Just asking

X2! There are plenty of places to fish out there! Show up early and move on if it's taken! That should really be common sense for anyone dropping an anchor out there!

It's not anonymous like driving on the highways. Out on the coast it's good to have friends or at least don't make enemies. What goes around...
I'm thinkin' a few hundred guys might now remember the name and so might "not hear" radio calls from Knighthawk. It's one think to make a mistake - "Sorry!" - it's over and forgotten (like when someone runs over your gear). It's another to be a total douche. Maybe karma comes calling but maybe Darwin.

I had a 16' double eagle pull up and anchor 150-200 feet from me today off alberthead thanks buddy.

not sure how to post photo that buddy got of the boat...its on my email. any leads let me know. thanks. nice fish craven.

A small consolation to hope for - maybe he'll get your gear jammed in his puller while tring to pull his pick!

Anchored of west race yeeterday, when I got there there was once other boat in the vicinity but I gave him shitloads of room, like 500m. Not sure exactly but definitely could not even really see the people on it.

A short while after I noticed two or three other boats anchor in what seemed like his immediate vicinity. Hard to tell cause of my distance but sure seemed like it. Funny thing was, these boats kept on moving around within the area; pulling anchor then dropping again?! WTF?! Are you that impatient to get a bite?! ;) But ya, seemed like they were all way too close together!

Also had a guy pull up beside me to ask how the fishing was there; told him it was slow - truthfully it was - and he took off, but I could see in his boat the anchor system he had ready to go. He was by himself. IMO, even on a good current day it probably isn't a good idea to be doing such a potentially dangerous thing by yourself, unless you're an experienced guide. Especially later on in the day when the winds picked up - I found it a sketchy pull even with the other hand on board!
