Hot stock tips

One of my favourite quotes:

“I made a fortune selling too soon”

A $1 mm TFSA...buy a bundle of your favourite divi stocks. In 10 years the divis probably double (or more). 4% yield today....

in 10 years you are clipping 80k per year tax free.
I know what I’d be doing.
Yes, divi stocks are a bargain right now (they were an even better deal last year). I've got a few pulling between 8% and 10% and that is after they halved the dividend during the early days of COVID.

Btw....CBDT

25 mm shares (issued at 5c) plus 25 mm warrants (12c strike) are free trading around March 9.

Going to be a lot of paper that will be looking for a new home.

The wife made me buy 45 shares of BROOKFIELD RENEWABLE PARTNERS this morning

she "likes the stock"
Actually, she's pretty smart. I've held it for 2 yrs now and it's gone up 170%...

Those warrants will trade on their own, when do they come due? At least the cash comes direct into the company.

This. I mentioned it few pages ago. Got out at $2.18. Wasn’t in as early as some of you guys though(0.70).

Have a look at Loop Insights Inc. MTRX.V
Vancouver based company, CEO in Nanaimo
It's at 1.46 this morning, they halted trading yesterday to announce a wallet platform for the World Boxing Council.
Worth a gander I think. Speculative

I made a nice little profit on their run up in December which I was able to use to buy my position in CBDT. I like Loop's AI tech and their CEO. Unfortunately they haven't been able to deliver on any contracts that bring in substantial revenue. I'm kind of simple that way I like business that make or have reasonable potential to make money. But if Rob Anson succeeds that stock could be big for some investors.

The same could be said for cbdt what are they reporting something like 3M in revenue and nothing but negatives all over the balance sheet. The volume is out of sight today, man thats just crazy to me.

I'm no way saying they won't get to solid and strong revenues but that's a long gap between valuations even at these levels and what the books show. Crazy multiples, fomo style.

Tough to say. Empower is actually bringing in revenue from the COVID play which is increasing exponentially month over month. The clinics which hold the biggest potential won't start showing revenue for a few months yet. My prediction is that when earning are announced in April people are going to get really excited about this stock. Hopefully I can close out about 75% of my position then. If I'm wrong and Steve misses earnings then my investment might be in a bit of trouble but at least I got in early and should be able to bail out with a profit. Loop......who knows, too much secrecy for me. Rob doesn't like talking about money for some reason. That's all I want to say about that. Rob is an island boy and a big fan of Saltwater fishing. I'd be surprised if he wasn't on this forum and it isn't my intention to slam his company.....just not a good fit for me right now.

I would imagine airline stocks are down due to covid crushing them.
Does that mean when things open up again soon in the USA, they will shoot up?

If they don't fail first. Apparently bail outs become an issue but I don't know enough to know how/why that is.

If you look at the fundamentals, every airline that doesn't have a huge freight play should be dead right now. But if you have a look at the infrastructure that serves airlines such as airports, there's some serious money being invested that has to return over many years to follow. So I would say that airlines that have made either this far are going to be good plays for recovery hits. Think gm paper in 08.

I was in on SAVE for a good run up but got out again once the variants became the hot news.

Dont quote me on the specifics but my understanding is that AC has had 3 previous govt bailouts. One of them included a restructuring that left shareholders holding the bag. The time to buy AC was 10 months ago. I'd be cautious at the current share price. It could go either way

Completely agree. I picked up at $14 and sold at $22 a couple months ago. . Really surprised it hasn't come back down, which makes me nervous. But if it does, I would love to pick more up for under 15.

Look at boeing, that little oops with the 777 doesn't seem to have had much affect on the sp. People are cranked up orders are stacked, giddy up.

Congrats, I did the same but didn't do quite as well as you. I think I jumped in around $15 and out around $18. I was still happy though. It was a quick turn around. Obviously if I'd held long I'd be up further but that is true for most stocks and if I'd held long I would have missed other opportunities.
