Help with bending aluminum pipe

I have broken a foot peg on my pontoon and the boat are no longer available (Water Skeeter) so I wouod like to bend some 1" OD x 1/8" wall tubing to repace the foot peg. Anyone here from Nanaimo to Victoria have some equipment that couod help me out? I am going to do two of them so I dont have to re-visit this problem

All the best,

Richard

Not sure it would work but you could try a EMT pipe bender.
I think you can rent them at Home Depot.

FD sure types faster then me... LOL

I think 1x1/8" may take some beef.... Worth a shot

And GLG... you type faster than me :D

make sure you use Aluminum tube. NOT pipe. Pipe doesn't bend, it cracks....

you will want to "anneal"(form of heat treating) the aluminum before you attempt to bend it. this will prevent it from cracking or collapsing when you form it to the shape you require.

6061 -T6 aluminum pipe you have to anneal before bending. 6063-T6 aluminum pipe is bendable with out annealing. The 6063 is a little harder to come by but it's around.

I was just going to suggest 6063 as well, 6061 is kind of for structural / rigid almost brittle and 6063 is architectural and will bend. Learned this the expensive way.
