Halibut season

I see in preperation for the on comming onslaught of questions the DFO has made mention of Halibut regs on their website:

Halibut: recreational fishing for halibut is closed until further notice.

Where are you Mr. Kamp and friends lets get this ball rolling.

Oh wonderful, another annual game of "Guess When Hali Season Will Open"

what i don't like right now is "when will it close" i lost 10 days of hali bookings last sept... same people are wanting to book and i cant give them an answer.. traditionally , well for the last five years sept has been my busiest hali time,, now i can't even book...pissed once again....

I play hockey with a guy that works for Fisheries, not in the regulation dept, and he figures maybe as early as mid August. Not sounding good according to him. Hope he's wrong.
