Halibut Anchoring System - $500

Located in North Saanich. Halibut anchoring system put together by Trotac Marine. Designed for up to 25 foot boat. 475 ft. of 1/2 in. rope. 34 ft. of 5/16 in. chain Danforth type anchor The only thing you have to ad is the rope from bow to stern on your boat to clip the anchor rode too and a suitable sized ball.

Just a minor clarification - that's a Bruce style not Danforth ( and if original, much better than Danforth in that application )

Trotac did mine too and on your picture the chain is installed incorrectly. It should be attached where the circle is with a clevis. The chain is then laid along the anchor shaft and zip tied with heavy duty ties. That way if you hang up when retreiving, the ties break and you pull the anchor straight up.

, out of curiosity , with that half inch rope , when you drag it up and through the SS ring , and turn back to collect the rope , does it sink again ? i use more of a nylon type rope that will float , a little easier to pull in ? love how easy yours looks to lay in the tub though
