FN0301-RECREATIONAL - Salmon: Chinook - Area 20 - Fishery Management Actions - Effective March 29, 2

Quite a few guides in the Sooke area have been convinced to collect DNA data and keep log books this year. I've kept log books for many years and had taken a few years of DNA samples then stopped doing that for 3-4 years (still did the log books) when I found out the samples were still to this day sitting on shelf and never annualized. DFO has assured us they have money set aside and the samples we are all collecting this year will be processed.

would be interesting to see what the creel survey results are if they do that in your area. I know they do creel surveys in vancouver area but i don't no where they post the recent results.

Well here is almost 1100 springs they are trying to protect that have been netted. Remember this is only what has been reported....
Not to mention it is open to netting everyday..

Also on the upper Fraser as well.

With how quick the Fraser has been dropping last few weeks have been gangbusters, despite what the records show.
FYI....I have no issue with them using traditional methods up there...
