Fishing in the Parksville area?

I have a family reunion next weekend at rathtrevor resort in Parksville and I thought, hey why not take the boat? I have never launched or fished there so I would appreciate as much info as possibole about where to go and where to launch and what do you use for bait in that area? How is the fishing there? Is it worth towing from Courtenay?
