FYI - they are asking people to stay away from camping in Pachena and Bamfield area. Bamfield - Port Alberni roads are CLOSED. Videos from last night show the fire burning across both sides. Back...

we’re scheduled for bamfield Mon-Thurs next week, haven’t cancelled yet but are preparing to and making other plans.

 

[Tips Up]

During fire season I carry a shovel, axe, 5 gallon water jug with hand bilge pump and a fire extinguisher in my truck. I encourage others to do the same. Could just be in the right place at the right time to put out a spark. If you are a smoker you should carry a water bottle half filled with water as your ash tray. Do your part. Be prepared.
