This is my favorite photo from this year because it shows three grown adults early in the morning sunrise on their way to the fishing grounds, but they are excited as boys out to spend the day fishing together. That’s what fishing can do. Me, Bill Haymond (author of The Science of Salmon Fishing) and @Gomesy.

Fishing the top end of Dundas at the end of May was tough fishing Dad got the only spring up there. Trying to hand feed an eagle was fun. This guy came a few feet away but wouldn't commit so I tossed him up a fish head and made a buddy for the day.

For some reason these guys actually let me aboard their amazing 68 Princess in Pendrell. I had no idea this pic was taken and it was a hell of a trip ripping from Pendrell to fish in Toba for 6 days. This was taken at dusk, between the red wine and scotch sandwich.



I miss summer.
