SoG Hake/Pollock summer 2025

I posted recently in the Comox thread about catching a couple of large (62 cm) Hake at Kitty Coleman recently. A couple other folks responded that they had also caught hake there this season and it was not typical. This weekend fishing iron mines (the bluff just south of Lund) we caught more Hake, again unusual for this spot. In addition at Mace point we caught a bunch of Walleye Pollock. While I have often caught Pacific Cod over the years, Pollock are a much rarer catch (The two are very similar but Pollock are generally slimmer and have an almost non-existent barbel under the chin compared to the obvious barbel on a P Cod). I am wondering if others have any observations on catch of Hake/Pollock this summer and if something (possibly a reduction in deepwater Oxygen) might be changing distribution in the SoG this summer.
