I'm in the Nanaimo area and as many of you know the fish are few and far between. I'm also in a small boat and can't get out much with all the wind we seem to have lately.
I want to try going north ie Denman, Courtenay, and possibly even Campbell River if anyone can recommend good sheltered spots close to boat launches. Anyboby putting in at Union Bay? Deep Bay? Ideas? How far north do I have to go to find the fish?

Try the beaches around nile creek and sunny beach with your boat there are launches around.Just make sure you crowd the fly guys they love that!

The chinook non-retention lasts until Aug 15th at the south end of Denman...are the coho and pinks running through the area right now?
