Not sure about that Charlie. I know a couple guides up on the north end of the island that are from OR and get 6 month visas each year to run their service. Seems like it would be different for the boats in the straits though, since the ones up north result in money being spent in Canada (other than licenses).

On the Customs check-in, I might suggest firearms may be a problem if they are on board.

Firearms? Are not a problem, at all!

What you don't do, is take the firearm out of the boat and start walking to the Customs Officer? They really don't like someone walking around caring a firearm! Been there done that!

What you do, do! Is leave it where it is and TELL</u> them where it is and where the ammo is! [:0]
