has anyone else found they get the red rocks when they set to shallow?

At least you can eat the red rock crabs. At times we (Comox) get invaded by graceful crabs in both the prawn and crab traps. And they are too small to make it worthwhile eating.
I get those from time to time in Cowichan. we called them Mud crabs.quote:Originally posted by Concerned Angler

I understand DFO recommends limited consumption of crab caught in and around the inner harbour, due to past dioxin contamination of the harbour bottom.quoteosted - 12/29/2006 : 14:56:53
Damn I love this site. I have learnt so much! Thanks all, as I said keep it coming. I have a car topper so I can just launch off the beach infront of estavan. I did see some old boy using his trap off one of the harbour ferrys docks near songhees.....can you do that?
