Has anybody been fishing Cowichan Lake the last month?. Anything worth reporting. Thanks
Thanks for the info. The weather is not helpful eitherits spawning season for rainbows they may be dropping out of the lake to spawn. Cutties have mostly finished already but may be waiting around for free eggs or staying for the smolt migration.

on fishing this lake
Anyone have recent info on Cowichan lake recently ?
Going to be at Heather for a few nights and will bring the 10’ Jon out.
I have fished around Shaw and Nixon in the fall but never in the warmer months.
Just asking if I should work the same areas/ depths and use large spoons & plugs like I would in the fall?
Awesome, thanks, appreciate the info. I’ll report back on how I doTroll the mouth of Nixon and Shaw Creeks from 20-60 ft off the rigger with 3 inch Tomic plugs for cutthroat. Has always worked well for me. The warmer the weather/water the deeper you need to go. Early morning and evening are usually better times. For Rainbows use a gang troll and a worm or a small kwik fish or a 2-3 inch spoon. Lotsa different lures will catch a rainbow.
