Commander 26 Re Build

So I've been following this rebuild from the beginning and gone thru many tubs of popcorn enjoying all the work that's being done
All I can say is ,your going to need a bigger freaking trailer with BIG tires

Yaaaaaa, I don’t plan on towing her daily that’s for sure but can’t wait to see the neighbours face when I park this in my driveway .
Hopefully we will see how she sits on the trailer by the weekend.

Here’s some pics for today. The transom is reinforced and looks great. Wrapped the top with mat and roving. Started repairing an area of concern around the windshield, the ply started pulling away from the glass, so we wedged it, grind/cleaned, stuffed it with mat and clamped it down, turned out great. That was the worst spot. The other areas should be a quick fill.F012E95E-AF44-43A0-A4B0-9B7DFA4EDBBC.jpeg7DBDF66F-E96B-4E17-A570-F177878C7063.jpeg2003CA7F-7458-427C-AAB1-51F76F7A1C5F.jpeg2A135804-CEF3-4F87-9679-377E8ED38DF0.jpeg94659DA7-1F56-4091-BC95-1B852E14EB10.jpeg750F5A71-5D3B-4D33-BDF6-E34F25DF4CA3.jpegE8DC4F78-8396-4D1F-B6C2-2D0F697921E4.jpegD48A6635-D6D4-4F79-974A-8EF14311B472.jpeg17D32DD6-7C07-486B-99E0-C7632C96B0CF.jpegC9909871-AD27-4BAD-8E89-6BD681919E31.jpeg

Found some different teak at smith plywood today while picking up some more ply for the bulkheads floor and v berth. Buddy said it is 0.5 mm. Starting to think about everything else that was put aside from the stringers. The old V berth is back out and will be a awesome jig… hopefully get some pieces cut tomorrow. 3642605D-569D-4940-9FAB-17FEFE761B82.jpeg026D6371-77CA-4E65-A366-81F715013DAB.jpegA75CF938-6DC8-4C94-8DB5-D5A70A1E5A97.jpeg

HEY was that Ron's first cameo in the last couple photos of his coverall arm?!? looks good @Sttr tons of work that boat will outlast you and other generations for years to come.

Well congrats Mike at roadrunner, you are the first one that’s delivered within their timeline through out the entire build. Picked up my trailer today and put the boat on it right away. The trailer looks awesome. Everything is adjustable to a certain extent and I will still play around with it to set it perfectly. The bunks stick out 2.5 feet but we still have a 44” pod going on so it should be perfect. There are a few tweaks to do on the trailer, one bolt already fell off LoL. I will retorque everything up. I also want to replace the electrical connectors all around the harness and secure it nicely, maybe add some grommets to prevent rubbing. I’m super happy with the way she sits on the trailer, doesn’t seem overloaded at all. This trailer will fit a 30 footer with ease after a few adjustments.DFD65811-8552-4A82-BFBE-C2ED6DEC2332.jpegE2848BD6-D21F-4C16-94AE-7C7E6FF6F039.jpegC8ABD9A6-AE90-4330-99B7-A1C67597815F.jpeg65593557-5C86-4DAA-AD6B-D72E0A3E31AC.jpeg

I can't remember if your putting the dodger back on , are you?

I’m really liking her with the top off :), but love the command bridge. I have a Bimini that’s going back on eventually.
I might leave the command bridge off until the end

Don’t tease us like that. But I would really love to see it with just the brow back on, I think it would look prettyyyyy good

Started a bit on the hull today. There are some type of cracks in the gel coat. Haven’t seen any blistering and all looks good so far.0472AF54-89FA-4116-9A48-41270F711586.jpegD633DC92-ACB8-43A8-AE88-5EA888DDF1C2.jpegEC808916-98CA-49B4-B3B1-7A0675A61DB3.jpeg1549E153-4610-4C83-9EF2-B5A3BBE6E279.jpegF7799BF1-BD51-43E7-A6AE-43C3022901A5.jpegEE0FCF75-7AE7-4928-8289-805CDDEFABE3.jpeg
