Commander 26 Re Build

Sorry for your loss!!!
I’ve been enjoying your build. I enjoy your enthusiasm!!
If your grandma lived to 96, then hopefully it runs in the family, and you’ll have a lot of years of enjoyment in your 26 Commander.

Thank you
Not so much for the fellas LoL, and everyone is different and has their unique health situations.

I’m excited for this week, do a bit of work with Ron, finish the bow and get ready to lay to floor down. I have done quite a bit of grinding and am ready for some resin… after one more final touch with the grinder! The trailer should be in this week and will help me move the boat around, out of the shop for some sandblasting and gel coat.
I’m hoping to have a bit of visual changes to the boat before the end of the month!

Ahhhhhhhh, finally getting closer to finishing the hull. I pushed everything long enough to have Ron’s 25 years of experience do quality control on my grinding and lay the first mat down to the hull. We also added 3 strips of mat on the keel before we set another wider layer of mat and roving. We have now grind out all the tabbing from the previous stringers and pretty much reinforced the entire hull by at least one mat one roving. The last pieces for the keel are cut and laminated, set one down on some polybond.
I want to tab this one in first separately as the upper one overlaps a few inches on top of the lower one. Here’s some pics from today! I’m not sure if it’s possible for me to get more excited! Or why I’m posting like this! Maybe it’s because my trailer is ready! Or my hull is almost complete! Or I had too much resin today!7E60A61F-3EBE-4F83-8108-D752E421C7CC.jpeg97E18152-2D49-4EEB-BA36-6E60651D6973.jpeg407B6667-6CCB-4D49-B52F-30F1535F4C72.jpeg39D0D0A3-A149-4C95-A14F-7B8EE8107B1A.jpeg01988506-988B-4655-BEBA-0880CB820556.jpegF76585ED-6AAD-4E0F-8D83-0008FFB57575.jpeg2C1DA819-0B7C-4342-9CFE-7537F090202D.jpegF2FED23A-C40A-476A-AB18-F9CB39FD67D1.jpegF748E796-6D58-4F22-A298-EE123E60DC17.jpeg49385EDF-194A-4DD3-B12E-A6C62C18CB85.jpeg

Man I’m putting that sh** on my wall as art. You could make your build free by putting a tutorial together with Ron, showing how he (both of you) do your art work with fiberglassing.

If you put that on your wall I will get Ron to sign it for you LoL

I can make my build free if I can sub contract some of my shop work to these people I met through this build. Guess who hasn’t been getting any welding work from me…

Explain...the glass part anyway. The welding part I hear ya.

Maybe said a bit wrong, this boat is not going to be free LMAO.

Besides welding… body work, hoods, fenders, fibreglass man baskets, trailer roof repairs

And the work is never ending… all year
