Ahhhhh. I seen this one, she is a beauty.
Seams odd if the only thing left is to install engines and she’s worth 40k.
Maybe he seen my thread? Also no pics of drives or transom housing, which make me worry, and I’m sure it pre alpha. But you know if she was local I would be already looking at her.

It’s been for sale for at least a year, I’ve looked at it a hundred times online, super clean boat and looks like great value so wonder why it hasn’t sold.

This is why the transom has to come out,View attachment 77115View attachment 77116
It looked like you had cut the transom right through. Are you just removing the inside and all wood leaving the outside intact? That would be the normal way to do it. I agree, if the transom is rotten then that wood has to come out.

It's a shame that some boat owners don't understand that if you drill a hole, no matter how small, you have to make the effort to ensure that water can never get through. I'm sorry you're having to deal with so much rot, she'll be new when you're done though.

Any indication why the transom was wet? Like where did water intrusion originate? Drive cutout, screw holes, swim platform?

It's the price, everything sells if it is priced right. I’m in the 1% with a trailer and truck that could come pick it up but like the 100’s of other guys we all think it's worth somewhere between $10 and 19999.

I was always a firm believer in the $1 auction on eBay, you always get what its worth if you start the bidding at a $1.

Back to the thread! Bummer about the discoveries but at least you and Ron are making her bullet proof!
