Nothing wrong with taking them back until you are into clean wood, but personally I don't think I would remove the whole thing. Not sure if this is the same twist you are referring to , but it’s one of the things I would like to get straightened up. I m also worried some fuel seeped in under where the stringers overlap, I see cracks and the wood is discoloured. View attachment 77095View attachment 77096View attachment 77097View attachment 77098

It’s been for sale for at least a year, I’ve looked at it a hundred times online, super clean boat and looks like great value so wonder why it hasn’t sold.Ahhhhh. I seen this one, she is a beauty.
Seams odd if the only thing left is to install engines and she’s worth 40k.
Maybe he seen my thread? Also no pics of drives or transom housing, which make me worry, and I’m sure it pre alpha. But you know if she was local I would be already looking at her.

Haha yes sir! Those engines and running gear were crap when they were new
Do I have to like every post as this is my thread?Once you go black..

It looked like you had cut the transom right through. Are you just removing the inside and all wood leaving the outside intact? That would be the normal way to do it. I agree, if the transom is rotten then that wood has to come out. This is why the transom has to come out,View attachment 77115View attachment 77116
It's the price, everything sells if it is priced right. I’m in the 1% with a trailer and truck that could come pick it up but like the 100’s of other guys we all think it's worth somewhere between $10 and 19999.It’s been for sale for at least a year, I’ve looked at it a hundred times online, super clean boat and looks like great value so wonder why it hasn’t sold.
FuelAny indication why the transom was wet? Like where did water intrusion originate? Drive cutout, screw holes, swim platform?
