Cedar boat launch at low tide?

Hi all,

I have launched a few times at cedar but always during high tide.

Can anyone confirm if a 17' boat (arima) could be retrieved during low tide?

Not likely/ Its pretty sketch in there. The parking is also a nightmare. Ladysmith launch would be my advice, and no issues on parking.

I was going to launch my 17' DE from there a few years ago for a trip to Pirates. I had a quick look prior to the trip and decided it was too sketchy for me and went from Chemainus (I was trailering from Victoria). From Google earth, at low tide the ramp disappears.

depending on how low...but it really flattens out quickly and stays shallow for a long way out..

I would just go to ladysmith, I’ve heard the cedar ramp is in poor shape
