Campbell River reports

Mostly marble and a few whites. The red ones are the small ones around 24 ½ inches.
Talked to a buddy and he said he caught fish at 65 feet on the DR, out in the deep water between shore and the hump. Must be lots around if that’s the case. There is a ton of bait out there, all over the place. The rod tips were twitching when we went through some of them.
Seen a few boats that were getting lots of hits and fish. It’s nice to see and hear their joy when they got them to the boat. Sure is different from the past many years.

You're seeing the fish Vancouver was seeing in mid April to May 20.... I think.

A large percentage of Vancouver caught fish during that time were Marbles.

Bates is still doing well if you don't mind the drive.
Been a couple of fish on the bottom of the ebb at the Light/hump as well as some on either the flood or the ebb at Shelter. Watch out for the Grey cod @ the light if the leaders are too long or you drive to slow you can't keep them off the lines.
There is PILES and PILES of bait headed our way shouldn't be long and the fishing should pick up close to home.

Went out this mornin for about 4 hrs, didn't get much just one shaker and a few hits. Didn't see that many caught at the hump. Dave the voyage went well no hickups. Hopefully be out there tomorrow too weather permitting.

There were several fish over 20 caught in the last couple of days between Cape mudge and Rebecca spit on the ebb. Hootchies at 160 near bottom.
Bring the seal repellant though.
