While the SAP review is now complete, a decision has not yet been made. It remains important to continue raising awareness about critical issues including the need to maintain Chinook and Coho priority for the recreational fishery - after Conservation, Food, Social and Ceremonial (FSC), and First Nation Rights‑based Commercial fisheries, but before the all‑citizens commercial fishery. A poorly revised SAP carries significant risks to the public fishery, which makes continued communication with politicians and the Minister critically important.
