Brag and show!

Jeezuz Red Monster, that first pic looks like a murder scene. I guess I am taking my on board washdown for granted these days. Beautiful fish , but did you go at it with a pick axe and baseball bat?

Damn dude LOL

Here is a picture of my daughter's first salmon. I'm taking this opportunity to brag for her. She said "It was the funnest day ever, Daddy". Maybe not a trophy, in fact just a Pink. But, a day we'll remember and cherish forever. I guess fishing is different things to different people. To me it's the time spent with friend and family, and the memories.

Coyote....now that pic and your post is definitely what it's all about. ;)

Awesome picture!!

YES Coyote!!! THAT is definitely what we're after!
Just, catching some fish would be helpful in our case!!!
We're only able fish from the beach thus far. Lots of bottom fish, but NO salmon in two years of trying!

I CANNOT wait to be able to get a boat!!!

Congratulations! Your daughter is adorable, and so's her fish!

You really want me to brag????

Take only what you need.

hey famograham...have you guys tried the seawall in Nanaimo? There a hundreds of pinks schooling around the Millstream estuary and under the Newcastle ferry dock...easy casting with a spinner.

Sorry for the scary image, Highlights, but like I said, I bled that fish on the boat. I guess you've never bled a 50 pounder? LOL!

Note to self: bonk the biggest fish your boat has ever seen, bleed it after the official weigh in or at least wash the damn thing off, then take the picture. :D:D

Remember, it's called "fishing," not "catching."

LOL, definitely bleed after the weigh in if you are going to;). Actually I rarely bother with the weigh in anymore unless I'm in a derby. I either let em go or buck em up before they go bad.

I have dealt with hundreds of very large fish over the years so I cannot say my gear has not been bloodied as well.

This pic has always had the wow factor. It's a pig. Over 70

Again , congrats on the hog!

Now that's a hog H! Glad to see the heavy artillery coming out.[8D] Where and when you forgot to mention?

Merri, the 50 was out of Port Renfrew two weeks ago, snagged on a chovy.

Remember, it's called "fishing," not "catching."

DOF - I think we've spent too much time trying (and failing) to conquer Nile Creek! LOL!

We go to the fishing pier, and catch crab sometimes, and cast while we're soaking the trap. We had actually planned to try where you are talking about but haven't as of yet.

So do you think they're still there, or are we too late?
Would you say park in the Swy-a-Lana parking lot and then walk to the left or is there a better parking spot?

Thanks!

Awesome shot of your daughter Dean ! She looks like a pro !! My 4 year old daughter likes to touch the eye of the fish but never wants to hold a fish in her hand !!
