I liked running it that way being a tiller model. And if you think about when them springs are laying tight to the kelp and I wanna keep on em, you get better thrust to turn off the kelp and get back in there quickly with the kicker on the stbd side. That’s if your playing right to the rocks rule…
I was more referring to weight balance. It should mounted opposite the driver

Congrats on the sale, what’s next?
Finish the old 18.2 for an affordable fun rig. And I have the 2550 Tiara to spend the summers on still. Believe it or not but the Tiara is the same fuel consumption as the 20’2” with the exact engine and prop. I don’t have near the top speed and a little less cruising speed in the inlet, but can go faster outside the surfline. And the deck space is double. That 20’ hourston is a great riding hull for its size, but it’s terribly inefficient and tender at rest. A buddy had a 23’ all done up 300 sea pro and burned the same fuel as my 20’, and the 23’ beam is much more stable. The 18’2” should be great with a v-8 sea pro…
