Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

I might have found the one, though it appears I’m in the wrong line of business…36’, $577k

36' displacement with twin outboards. 🤨 I wonder if this has ever been built as it seems a very strange and specialized plan. If it is true displacement you would have a hull speed of about 8 knots. Why would you do that with outboards and not twin diesel inboards? I bet at today's dollar you would be looking at at least 550K+ for a bare bones build.
Displacement cats can slice thru the water and are able to greatly exceed the normal hull speed of a monohull boat.

I have a friend in NZ that builds displacement and planing cats. Here is an example of a 9metre displacement cat with twin 80hp outboards that can cruise at 16knts.

Lots of interesting boat designs in NZ.

That is a nice looking cat. Yeah, it's true that hull speed doesn't really apply to those boats and some of em are really quick.
Yeah, unlikely in this lifetime

What about the 26’ glacier bays? See a few around south of the border and pretty sure I fished on one outta renfrew about 15 years ago. I remember his auto pilot and twins being dialled. Bit too big for me but seemed nice / comparable to the tomcat?
I have looked at those on paper and then didn't pursue for some reason my memory fails me. They are really nice though from what I remember. Displacement hulls sure ride nice though!

Awesome. That’s a great deal, that one.
Nice build quality. I’d take a 2004 Sea Sport over a 2016 defiance any day of the week! She’s big though, about 6000lbs wet but no ice, downriggers, cannonballs and fishing gear. Pile some gear on the roof and in the space where an inboard would have gone (factory pod) and she would push 6500-7000lbs and be good for a trip to Alaska

Bay liner 2858 with nice newer power , hideous cushion colour on the inside but looks like a nice boat overall
