Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Pretty big boat. If you have a family of 3, sleep 4 in a pinch, there is a Boston Whaler Conquest 28 with trailer for 42k usd in WA. Get him down to 35k and you might be in repower range.

29,700 pounds…
45.5 mph at 6,000 rpm using 43 gph. Optimum cruising speed equates to 25.5 mph at 4,000 rpm burning 18.9 gph. At that pace, expect a range of more than 400 miles from the 347-gallon tank. And that’s figuring 90 percent usable https://www.sportfishingmag.com/boats/boat-reviews/seaswirl-striper-3301-walkaround/
Hey Kaelc , Do you have a link to the 28 Conquest?

Going to look at that 26 Striper in n.van. Stizza says power low. Please weigh in if you own or have a buddy that has this boat. Power skinny?Thank
A 250 was one of the standard power options on the 2601, lots people find it adequate but most go up to 300 when they repower. Check out the Seaswirl striper owners facebook group there is a ton of info and comments there. We have a 2300 Striper and love it.

I will warn you about that engine in advance… You’re going to have more problems with an older low hour engine that you’d ever think, sitting is not good for them. I had a pair of 2006 Yamaha F150s with 300 hours on them that were like brand new, nightmare. If you’re making an offer on that boat, price in a repower with a new 300 or a lease return. That thing will be a slug with that 250.

A friend of mine’s dad has this boat ( Alaska top ). He bought it new and test drove it with a 250. Pretty sure they upped it to a 300 to make the deal.
I’m sure the 250 works but I’m guessing that there will be times when you wish there was a bit more there.
I think the potential issue of that vintage motor is idling hours. ( there isn’t enough drain holes in a cooling plate that causes the corrosion issues etc… ( how it was shown to me) ) I bought a 325hr ‘04 200hp last year that scoped out fine.

The biggest thing I’ve learned about boats and power is the prop. If she’s propped right you’d be surprised.
I’m a huge fan of the 4 blades now.
Amazing performance.
Sea trial it, then decide.
Not to mention the number on the cowling doesn’t necessary translate to actual
performance.

The ad says 250hp. They're the 4.2L V6 which is generally a really solid motor

I wish this boat had more seating under the hardtop. Could have easily accommodated a bench that fits 2 or 3 passengers vs. the current corner passenger seat.
