I love Whalers but by no means an expert or historian but I think this particular year and model is very rare with an extra wide beam for a 18 footer.

Saw the Double Eagle come up on craigslist. Photos look clean and that's a great price if the motor and transom check out (its a good price even if it does need a bit of work).
Lots of fun for very little money.
I swear I've seen that Grumman out on Pitt Lake. Guy was out there going beach to beach for a few days - looked like he was having a blast.

I’ve never seen an ad highlighting the cleats/lights. That’s a huge red flag. Kinda like when she sends you pics and they’re taken either from afar or with what seems like the original iPhone. Run.

aluminum Jack plate 25” motor on a 20” transom but if it’s not a scam still seems pretty cheap.
My bad, I just glanced at the photo, saw aluminum on the transom, looked at the price and assumed it was f*cked.

Most likely is rotted at that price to be honest seems to cheap there’s boats in way worse shape for a lot more lol maybe the deal of the year or a scam I’d be cautious for sure.
