Remember when you could buy a nice clean used boat with a good outboard for $15K ?This is a really clean boat, seen it in person good candidate for an outboard conversion.
Doesn't seem that long ago....

It’s not just boats, everything is out of whack these days. Dont expect it to end soon our fearless goof just keeps printing and handing it out. Another 500m today, seems to give about that out daily..Remember when you could buy a nice clean used boat with a good outboard for $15K ?

Didn't you or someone else on the forum have one of these? Thoughts on price?Me too. But she says it’s up. $19,500

Yep, it does there’s 300m more people in the U.S and they’re currency far exceeds ours giving another country 500mcad is equivalent to 375usd big difference. The more we print the worse it gets more pressure on the middle class taxpayers who are already at a tipping point we have our own issues that need to be addressed. 500m towards $10/day childcare etc goes a long way … But Back to boats. That Hourston is worth a look.Does it make a difference? Compared to US spending what ever Canada does seems like a drop in a bathtub. Pricing of building materials, trucks and boats is all driven by the US. Jobs numbers in the US up, Canada down, inflation and the economy will stay up.
Price seems okay but it is a bit of a project. Depends on condition, motor too, no kicker in pics but ad says there is one. She told me fresh water use only but you can see the patina and wear, rust on some bolts, downrigger mount location, that to me indicate it was a former lodge boat. These are very heavy for their size, (1/4" bottom, 3/16" sides) so the proper trailer for these is usually a bit heavier/bigger channel size, but pics are not great to confirm what is there. It says 2006 year.Didn't you or someone else on the forum have one of these? Thoughts on price?
The business sent a video of the main engine running, shifting, etc, but as you said there isn't a kicker despite the ad saying there is. Definitely some oxidizing, but I don't see any decal imprints as you would typically see on an ex-lodge boat and they probably cheaped out on some of the hardware during the build which would partially explain the rusted fasteners. I haven't seen anything near this price for the quality and reputation for quite a while, put down a refundable deposit to at least give me a little time to get all the way out there from the Island.Price seems okay but it is a bit of a project. If I didn’t already have mine, I would be up there already towing it back. Couldn’t agree more. Nice boats for $15k. Nicer than the ones for sale now at $22kRemember when you could buy a nice clean used boat with a good outboard for $15K ?

HpdiLooks like a fair price for a well kept Grady Sailfish.

So for any pre 2005 282 owners:Hpdi
I think it’s like our gulfstream, fish box under the port side seat that’s on the dance floor (directly behind the passenger chair in the cockpit). Do you guys all use on board fish boxes? I still bring my big yeti everywhereSo for any pre 2005 282 owners:
Where do you keep hali?
I thought it was under the transom bench seat but I see the batteries back there. Thought it was setup like a 2870....
There's no in deck lockers so that leaves us with the space under the rear facing seats? I must be missing something. I've only fished the newer 282 layout.
40-50lb go in there pretty good.So for any pre 2005 282 owners:

87k to get it landed. Worth it for a hull in that condition. Trailer brake upgrades and electronics likely necessary so one the water for 100k. 45-50k for a nice used set of engines and you are laughing https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/631384855509002/?mibextid=6ojiHhLooks like a fair price for a well kept Grady Sailfish.

Interesting. In the case of the 282 it sure puts value on those 05 plus hulls with the transom locker then (if your fishing in the right areas)I think it’s like our gulfstream, fish box under the port side seat that’s on the dance floor (directly behind the passenger chair in the cockpit).
