Not an 18'Does it look like a 18'er to you guys?
What would something like this be worth? 84 DE
From the height of the gunnels near the stern it almost looks like it could be a “18” (people call these 18 but they are actually 17’). The windshields been modified and makes it look like a 16’.looks pretty clean, wonder if there

The guys just measures it for me and its 211" so guess its a 17'5, do that seem right? From the height of the gunnels near the stern it almost looks like it could be a “18” (people call these 18 but they are actually 17’). The windshields been modified and makes it look like a 16’.
your math is perfectThe guys just measures it for me and its 211" so guess its a 17'5, do that seem right?
no no no silly, does the boat and characteristics are that of a 17'5.your math is perfect![]()
Math: 211" / 12' = 17.583' and 0.583' x 12" = 6.99" therefore 211" = 17' 7". For sure it's not a 16' DE, however Double Eagle website says a DE 176 measures 17'-1" LOA. Not sure how it would measure 211" unless DE changed the length of the mold at some point. The guys just measures it for me and its 211" so guess its a 17'5, do that seem right?

The motor, steering and controls would be over 20k to install today so it’s a good starting point, with only 50 hours. You can go to the hull truth or a Grady forum to get an idea of the ride of these hulls. Tough to find anything with 2010+ power at that price. I believe You can get a nice tuff single axle trailer that can handle that boat nicely but then you are over 30k for a really old boat. Maybe worth spending 40k on a mid to late 2000’s equipped with a kicker and a trailer. I would really look for soft spots but the stringers would be the biggest issues with these as they would hopefully have redone the transom. There is an interesting $1 boat rebuild series on YouTube about an old Grady.Opinions??

Wait till you see what $1,000,000 buys you for a house in Vancouver these days. Oh wait... it doesn’tI guess this is where the current boat market is these days, $30,000 for an almost 30 year old inboard bayliner. Dont get me wrong looks like a well optioned boat with newer power but wow what 20-30 grand gets you in this market these days is nuts.
