Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Cost of getting another boat ship shape, paying JT his share of taxes = Not worth selling. Can't remember what year yours is, but I was thinking late 90's I'd say 147.5k but like you said that don't get you much these days. This two appears not to be selling, but I'd call the Canadian broker and gauge the interest level at 170k and 175k https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van/bod/d/richmond-commander/7616552666.html the second in WA had a significant price drop but hasn't sold https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/898477191452462/
Another point is that with the current boat it's a known quantity, unless you're forking out for a new build (even then it's still a boat) there will always be surprises from the previous owner.

That's my biggest concern. Spend more, waste more in taxes, and then spend even more making it my own. Why can't pods be cheaper!!!?

Finally, the market has opened back up to nice boats in a reasonable price point! There were no decent boats in the 20-40k range for a long time and now there are options

First a Yamaha 4 stroke 350 hp with good compression in all cylinders. Runs great 800 hours asking $22,500. Second Suzuki 20 hp 4 stroke. Like new $3950. Take both for $25kCan be tested right on the boat and buyer responsible for removal from boat

I've had interest from two separate guys recently on my boat. How much is too much to ask when you're trying to give the "I don't need to sell" price? Morley suggested I list for like $129 last year but then never followed up with me so I let that die. The more I feel like I can get now, the more I'm feeling like maybe there's nothing out there to replace it with. I don't want to be boatless.
Add up every nickel you ever put into it, including taxes and insurance, add 10%. That's your number

Let me get out the super computer.

Honestly, that's a great idea though. Likely way too high for anyone to pay. Which maybe isn't a bad thing. Has to be North of $175k
Even then what would you buy? Here is a nice 30 footer for 265k usd. Sure he may be on covid glue but there aren’t many nice 30 footers out there, the number being made declines every year. AF0073FD-E6C2-4213-9FBE-2850E019CADD.png

Yup, seems like a sideways move would end up costing me 100k minimum. That's at least one more bill from Inlet. And almost none of those options have outboards. Kind of makes me do the backwards math of being 300k into a commander with brand new power isn't that far fetched.
