Be nice to know exactly what’s up with the motor, ad makes it sound pretty reliable but then says good candidate for re power. Seems like maybe it could be run as is for awhile

Yah that’s my thoughts as well. It was freshly painted recently as well, if I was getting into something that old I would prefer it not painted, paint hides a lot.
