question for you guys.

driving home I saw a trophy 1903 looks likes a 2000s with a mercury 125 and top .It looks like it been sitting in the bush for a while as the the berry brush is slowly growing over it. Thinking about going over asking if the owner if he wants to sell it. what you think would be a fair price? anything to look at with a boat sitting outside for so long? I have a spare 175 verado I would put on assuming the motor is dead from sitting.

Tough question, what is any needs work project worth? I'd say 2500-5k for a nice hull(with top, hydraulic steering, and good wiring), $500 for a not rusted out but needs work and tires trailer, $500-$1500 for the engine if there is hope. Amazing how much work old projects take and easy to sink 10k into it.

If that's the motor I think it is that was a 4-stroke Evinrude on the back there. People call those things Johnzukis since they were a re-badged Suzuki often sold with Johnson decals.

If that boat is one of the later versions with composite stringers etc, It would be worth more than you think. That would be easily cleaned up.
