Living in the Comox Valley it seems there is no drop-off for old or contaminated gas. Go figure.:o Can anyone suggest the closest depot, or a site that could help. Thanks. eman

Someone has mentioned they have an annual gas recycle at Driftwood Mall. Hopefully they will have it this year as well. I've now also heard that Campbell River could have a permanent depot as well. Thanks for the offer FA. I'm way past our misunderstanding, hope you are too.;) eman

Looks like you can return it to the Campbell River Bottle depot (1580 – F Willow Street Campbell River, BC V9W 3M7).

Otherwise there is an annual (1 day!!) chemical disposal at the Driftwood Mall. There was an hour wait when I went there last year and I did not have the time to hang out that day so I still have a jerry can of varnished gas. Pretty ridiculous that's the only time/place you can get rid of old gas in a valley of boater, dirt-bikers and loggers, not to mention probably 20,000 lawn mowers and weed-eaters. Do they really think every one of those people hang on to gas for a year and line up to dispose of it?
