Boat Anniversary

Congratulations lol.

Can your rod holders tip up a bit? They look nearly horizontal. I’d be worried to lose a rod
They can not. I have worried about it but haven’t lost any and have ran sometimes with them tied in. I’m no physics major but it would be pretty hard to loose one unless you left a rod up there, put it on the trailer and drove under a tree near esquimalt anglers. Might have happened on my previous boat :(

2026 is the 20th anniversary of our 23 Hourston rebuild at Blackline - this is a family cruising and fishing boat which gets used for 10-15 day trips, mostly to Queen Charlotte Straits and the Broughtons.

For the 10th anniversary, we repowered to a D3-200 and did a cosmetic refresh - gelcoat nicks, hull polish, teak refinishing. 20 years in, and the rebuild is all solid, but its time for another cosmetic refresh and Blackline gets the nod.

She was a blank canvas when I got her, not even rigger mounts on it, was used by a fellow in Ferndale for diving and crabbing
I've set her up exactly the way I want it love it as an all round platform.
That is the model I told a Bayliner manager (at our boat show) to reintroduce but as an outboard version during a great discussion. They brought over the European versions instead.

Today is 8 years together, bought in Seattle 2018. Figured I could celebrate with you guys as I’m not sure if my wife will be happy that it means so much to me.

What a fantastic shot Kael, those are the days I long for! Flat water, blue skies, quality time.
#1 making lunch for the kiddos while they swim and #2 kiddos all sleeping and a cold drink with wifey!
