Saw a 92 taken off of Drainey in 91'.. What a pig..
Gooey, give me a shout over the next few weeks, Winter's are gonna start a comin if this sky water keeps up.-dirty

Fishing off the Cap once I hooked a huge one; it must have been over 90 pounds. But after fighting it for over an hour, it broke my line and swan off towards Prospect Point. :D

Hey red monster how about that nice one you caught off of renny a few years back with no rod????

Wolf

Dundas Isl 45 pounds with guide. Herring we jigged for plugging were about 2 pounders.

Regular fishing, no guide, 28 pounds. Among the freighters one Feb in Van Harbour.

Landed solo, fishing alone, beautiful 15 pounder off T10. Love the adrenaline from that one the best of all. (didnt actually weigh it).

Haven't gotten to do much real spring fishing until this year.

I got a 20.01 and 20.09 in the Bite Me derby. Good for 69th and 71st.

Had a 25lb hit my rod a few weeks later but the buddy who was taking me grabbed my rod and brought it in because I had skunked him the weekend before and had already picked up a smaller 12lb jack that morning.

When I was about 14 I was jigging in a canoe in 20ft of water infront of our cabin in bowser. I hooked a nice salmon (I won't guess on the size) and watched with horror as a seal made off with it. Fighting a big fish in a canoe is challenging enough, let alone a seal.

My personal best was a 56# caught on cut plug Redfern Pt. in Whale Channel. Guided 5 other fish in the low 50's. Hey opp-i-ottan who was your guide when you were at Big Time lodge. That Cheny pt is awesome.

Ya Wolf, I'll never forget that No-Rod Renny Fish up at Logan. You know that trick would sure come in handy around Vancouver! I did, however, break down and use my rod to pull a few nice ones out of the water during my annual trek to Renny this past August. And those VMC hooks you suggested worked great! [8D]

Bouy-O-Bouy... our guide that trip was Davy "Naptime" Jones!
While at Big Time (other years), I have also fished with Mike "Ocean Rat" and "Chief". I have no idea what their full names are but I see "The Rat" from time to time on his Dad's boat (Bad Habit) which is moored just opposite to myself in Thunderbird Marina, West Van.

Hey Guys
biggest salmon was a 30 on the dot caught in Port Hardy this past summer My father in law caught a 40 and 32 which were his first salmon in 17 years
had a great time
the 40 was the first fish in my boat ever!!!!

Hey guys, I'll jump in too.

I've guided a 51, about 10 over 40+, and maybe 100 or so tyee, but never landed a smiley myself. I gotta grab the rod one of these times! I did have a monster to the side of the boat once - fishing solo. I couldn't get the net handle snapped together with hoop with only 1 hand shaking with excitement, and lost it trying to get it close enough to gaff. Now i never drop a line in solo without having the net together and at the ready.
