Hey guys
just wated to know what every one got for x-mas??(fishing related)
i got a new fly reel and neoprene waders:D
 
Permission to go look at "chart plotters" have been looking back over the archived threads on this topic and will determine make and other issues when the new prices are out.
Hopefully will purchase a 7 in. full colour set which will fit the dash on the boat nicely.

some fishing gloves. didnt really get much in fishing stuff. mostly stuff for the truck:D
 
if you want a good deal on chart plotters and other such electronics Trotac Marine is blowing out their garmin stock at crazy low prices.
 
Boat, trailer and small lot in Renfrew, now I have to learn how to use it all! It was a good Christmas! Oh almost forgot my wife bought me a few used fishing books! Lots of good stuff in them!
 
New lifejacket (The inflating kind), new compass for boat, chart book , and last but most certainly not least 2 used (but in excellent condition) eletric downriggers, i must have done something right this last yr [:I]
 
Dohboy - can I ask you where you purchased the electric downriggers, looking for a pair myself.

bought myself a couple of penn 975's for my baitcast rods. They will go along great with the four islanders I bought over the past four christmas's. Thought it might be nice to play a couple on something different than the moochers i've used for years. Besides why let my steelheading blanks sit in the closet when I'm not on the river. Used one with a 250 calcutta this summer in nootka but made it really difficult not to get spooled as there is barely any line on it by the time you get 25lb on it.
 
VHF and a new depthsounder. It will be nice to go out and be able to trust the sounder.
 
Pinchme, i found them on used victoria.com, in one wk 3 sets came up for sale, but they sell fast, especially the cheaper they are priced, you could also check out the buy,sell&trade i have seen them on there before as well, good luck
