walk out to the end of Ogden point,,, spot the floats & find them.

look for a flat muddy bottom in from 75-150ft

Almost every boat launch from Sidney to Port Renfrew is mere minutes "by boat" to decent crabbing...you'll see the floats. Head to Fairways Market and buy a few packs of chicken backs approx $2. Load up your traps with the chicken, let them sit through a high slack tide/ current and you'll be eaten crab for dinner. Read the regs.
