Hey folks, been a while.

Escaped the prairie and got moved into a nice new place here in Bamfield. Looks like the crazy storms might have passed for a day or two so I'm gonna see whats happening out there.

A buddy of mine picked up a +30 in the first week of November plus a few 10-14s.

I apologize to anyone who's been trying to reach me, as I said, I am back for good now so shoot me a note. Fog Ducker, your email is not working!

Will update this post regularly for the rest of the season.

Email is fine , Craig ( Captain Kid ) just emailed me last night , small world , heard you parted with my Balls for a couple of day's dude ..[:o)],,,makin him a few in the near future., He was ravin about them , Think it was more his boat than anything else , lol....won't argue , headin up for maybe 5 day's soon , bought a 16 Welded all rigged up , SCARY , I know , will have to do the job ,Survival Suits , Warm Rum .. ;)

Spent about an hour and a half trolling yesterday in front of the harbour, no bites. Such a nice day we decided to hit the beach for a fire and some deer smokies while the traps soaked. Proved pretty comfy so we stayed till the end and then went to haul traps.

Tons of prawns right now and crabs galore!

Should be a few fishing showing up by xmas so will keep at it.

Hey Jeff, good to see you getting out and having some fun...did you guys sell the Grady? Hope you have a new ride. Keep the reports coming...one of these days when we get a nice patch of weather I'm going to head up to the Cabin to make sure she is still floatin...perhsps get over to see you for a visit.

Hey Pat, good to hear from you. I don't know if you are interested but I may need another boat for 5 days in August (8-12), I'll talk to Osama about it this weekend, but if you aren't already booked maybe we could snag you for a couple of trips...

What a fun time fishing yesterday. Wow.

It was my wifes birthday and she had to work, so Sheldon and I decided we'd better take advantage of the great day and head out there. We went up to the whistle bouy and dropped the gear after dumping the prawn and crab gear.

First pass and Sheldons into one. Wheres the net? hahaha NOT in the boat!

Oh well, little 6lbr commy style over the rail.

Next pass another, but we miss it.

Next pass, pin popper! I'm up and reel in my first winter of the year. A beautiful eleven pounder.

Next two passes produce two more fish, seven and eight pounds respectively. We're done! Off to the traps. Limit of crabs and prawns to finish out the day and we'd only been gone a couple of hours.

Great day to be living on the west coast.

Hey Millsy, had a look at my bookings and I'm booked solid from Aug 10 - 15. I have some days open before but it doesn't seem to fit your need.

Let me know if any of the dates before Aug 10 can work? Would be fun.

Too funny Rob, you read my mind....no doubt we will be pulling that killer plug. Let me know with the 6 inch guys come in....I need a few more. I'll drop by the store next Saturday to chat and see about the PSF dinner donations. Found a couple of Krpple K spoons in a pawn shop today, yee haa!! Winter Springs will be fleeing in fear now.

Great day out there today. Big swells leftover, but not a drop of rain!!!

Couple hours fishing end of the morning tide yielded a 12 pounder and lost another gooder. Crabbing deadly and prawn traps puking pink joy!

'Sposed to be decent tomorrow, gonna giver a go before the big houswarming I believe.

Ken, looking forward to the Boxing day derby!

Jeff, what are the details on the derby? If the weather is good my boat is in the water and ready to go. Planning to go up to the cabin and drop the traps and wet a line while they soak.

Thanks Ken, if the weather is good I will grab the old man and head out from Port Alberni first thing. We can catch up with you guys after we drop the traps. What channel you guys running, I'll give you a call when we get close.
