Just curious, where to fish for cabezon specifically in Vancouver and what methods do you use? Area 28 and 29 have so many restrictions, definitely don't want to target rocks and lings.
I know it's not near Vancouver, but the water in front of CFMETER (Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental Test Range in Nanoose), from 30' down to 80' has lots of Cabezon. I have caught them there, but also dove the site and there were more there than than I've seen in one spot. I have a few spots for them just off Entrance Island and east Gabriola, again in about 30 - 80'. They taste much like ling cod and they have blue flesh which turns white on cooking - just like some lings. Cabezon are sculpins (Family Cottidae) and your daily limit is 8 with 16 as the retention limit.
