While he may be ok, I had reports he ended up on a stretcher and taken to an ambulance.
I saw a picture where he was sitting at the fuel dock. Must have been pretty traumatic.

Pretty scary situation. Must have had a small fuel leak to have just enough vapour to explode but not catch on fire. Crazy!

With only two pics it is hard to see the reason BUT there are no flame scars. This looks more like a compressed air or maybe a propane detonation. Maybe a poor construction because not much on the boat was displaced. Could have been a methane from the fish holding tank? Some gas build up down in the bilge?
Just weird the way it split the top half from the bottom without much other damage.
