Another boat blew up at Schooner today

While he may be ok, I had reports he ended up on a stretcher and taken to an ambulance.
I saw a picture where he was sitting at the fuel dock. Must have been pretty traumatic.

That bulkhead even busted off the hull. There must not have been much to material to break

Pretty scary situation. Must have had a small fuel leak to have just enough vapour to explode but not catch on fire. Crazy!
Maintenance, maintenance maintenance , inboard or outboard.

Was beside a GW with outboard on the dock getting ready to leave in my boat when the outboard was cranking then boom just like a shotgun blew the engine cover about six in the air and split it in half
Was lucky nothing hit me or my kids on our boat
Was a Suzuki 225 fourstoke outboard

Bayliner has always has a lack effort to screw the top on mine was full of rivets that weren’t even holding
A wave popped the seam open had to fight with them to get it screwed together on warranty
So I told them they could keep it boy that got them to change their mind
Other than that it’s been good for a kcar of the boat world
Screws probably wouldn’t have helped that one though
