It was @cracked_ribs I believe his instagram handle was or is double eagle island. He doesn't appear to be a member of the site anymore.

That was a great thread. Double Eagle was his handle I think. Haven't seen him on here for awhile.
I met cracked_ribs by random chance at work once. I recognized him from the article in the paper about his boat. Great guy!He was a nice guy
Love it! Cold weather never kept Alaskans or Canadians down. Thanks for the updateAfter about a year off of the build, I have been hard at it the last few weeks. This weekend I flipped the hull over on to a trailer to start construction of the cuddy, pilot house, and deck. 42 strong we carried the boat out of the garage and flipped it without incident or effort.
Indescribable feeling.
Some details on the build to this point:
LOA 23'6, 8'3" beam at midships and 7' 10" at transom.
Approx weight of about 1200# minus fall off
23 or so gallons of epoxy
375 man-hours to this point over the last couple years
Onward! Hoping for June 2026 launch if my budget can keep up with the project.

Love my 19ft Klamath, hard to beat the layout / fishability.Did you finish your project. I am moving to van island with the intention of building a 24 jumbo. Basically went down the exact same path you did in my thinking..I fish out of an 18 ft klamath aluminum skiff now. Any advise on the Tolman would be welcome..thanks Jim
Looks great, I've got the tolman skiff book on my shelf. Wish I had the time to take a project like this on.After about a year off of the build, I have been hard at it the last few weeks.
