There still is submarine activity in the bay. We saw the sub out in July while fishing near Winchealsea. They do regular maneuvers, often with a plane circling overhead doing some sort of tracking.

Shhh! Not allowed nuclear subs in Canada, well maybe now but who would know? Doesn't that look like a Dallas class?

It’s still a torpedo test range, you’ll regularly see CP-140’s and US Navy P-8 Poseidon’s (militarized 737) that we have on order to replace the Aurora.

Caught a gooder last night, 91cm, plunked it on deck for a quick look and release. They are shallow 60 feet in 100 depth, pink and chrome spoon, 3 inch.

Beautiful flat calm morning at the little Q. Got our limit of springs on skinny g’s and released a few darker ones as well. Tried to find some coho on the humps but no luck. Sure got nautical out there by noon

Fished French creek hump Friday night / Saturday morning. Lots of coho action. Must have caught 30 and some nice size 7-9 pounds.
Friday night lost a nice spring, 215’ down. Hit so hard thought I hit bottom! Played it to 100’ behind the boat and gone

This morning the coho action was crazy, non-stop. Hooked a nice spring, 22 pounds! Finally broke the 20 mark!
All my fishing was deep. 200-225’ down.
Flasher white hootchie out performed my 602 plug 20-1. Although it is a new plug as my 10 year old one broke in half.
Whale show this morning was awesome. Big breaches one about 60’ from. Good time to change tacks and underpants.

Stayed about an hour too long. Brutal ride back to fairwinds.

Hump was on fire this morning for us also, 200-230 on the rigger, bare spoons and flasher/needle fish hootchie was the trick for us.
1 coho had a 5-6 inch herring in stomach.
Whales everywhere!! Had the wife's cousin out from Carmanville NL and my stepson. 1 pic stepson took was his cousin playing a fish with whale taking its dive. The Whales put on an amazing show all morning. Cousin got some nice breaching video.
Windy forecast was bang on.

Fun, but windy day out of FC today. We went over to Lasquiti. Found a few fish down deep. We got on the water a little late for the first bite. We managed a few hand shakes. Great time overall to have an opportunity to hang out with a couple of good friends and whom happen to be huge PEETZ fans.
