There still is submarine activity in the bay. We saw the sub out in July while fishing near Winchealsea. They do regular maneuvers, often with a plane circling overhead doing some sort of tracking.

It’s still a torpedo test range, you’ll regularly see CP-140’s and US Navy P-8 Poseidon’s (militarized 737) that we have on order to replace the Aurora.
Caught a gooder last night, 91cm, plunked it on deck for a quick look and release. They are shallow 60 feet in 100 depth, pink and chrome spoon, 3 inch.
Beautiful flat calm morning at the little Q. Got our limit of springs on skinny g’s and released a few darker ones as well. Tried to find some coho on the humps but no luck. Sure got nautical out there by noon
