Beauty day on the water today, we managed to get a just legal and a 14 pounder, dragging bottom in 170 FOW. Flashers and spoons.

Did an early morning run to check my crab traps, before the got pulled by others , limit of nice keepers. Love my diesel heater, nice and toasty after 15 min in the cockpit

On the boat. Jigging in 15-30’ of water. Find the schoools. Was thick at parksville. I prowled the shores schooner to Parksville and just south of the commercial guys were the fish. Nanoose any day now

Followed up @salmonkiller01 yesterday by taking out the yak this morning to French Creek. Barely left the harbour and got a limit of herring in an hour.

Spawn is full on around Nanoose now!

Spawn at Madrona Pt. and down along the point. Some discoloration by Mistaken but nothing else showing towards Schooner Cove this morning.

Was at beachcomber yesterday and was full on. Cast net from the shore filled 2 buckets in 30 min

Went off the beach at Nuttle bay tonight and there was lots of fish. Not as much as the night before but lots.

When I went by (from a distance) this morning there was a lot of bird activity there.
