Oooh that flasher!Great bite at the fingers this morning.
A lot of fun getting them using the 9 wt fly rods and the 175 old school Daiwa reels on mini flashers/hoochie setups.

Isn’t it a beauty? I’ve used that for cohos for 15 yearsOooh that flasher!
I’m probably too young. I have no clue what that is. In order to educate me, can you add a picture please?Isn’t it a beauty? I’ve used that for cohos for 15 years

Just a very light tackle set up to match the fish size.I’m probably too young. I have no clue what that is. In order to educate me, can you add a picture please?
How long of a leader do you run on that setup? I have a couple of mini flashers in the box somewhere, as well as some kite tails. Might lighten up for more sport as well.Just a very light tackle set up to match the fish size.
At my advanced age using very light tackle options to catch fish is very attractive to me

Was at Thrasher today early afternoon, managed a solo limit pretty quick. Probably not as good as the morning bite but still easy pickings.Great to hear the fishing has been so hot! Is anyone having luck in the afternoon/evening?
I do most of my fishing in the evenings, lots of action.Great to hear the fishing has been so hot! Is anyone having luck in the afternoon/evening?
Fished Thrasher today 11-1500. Brought home one hatch and a nice ling that we picked up trolling in close to the reef. Released 4 or 5 wild coho and really nice spring. Low tide was 1430 and it died off an hour before but got one wild as we pulled the gear off the clip at the end. Most of the action on an AP tackle works sandlance, spring and a coho or 2 on a WCFT white glow hoochie. Prawns on the way back but not stellar.Great to hear the fishing has been so hot! We were out for a few hours this morning as well and the bite was steady the entire time. Best part was no wind...what a morning! Was at the fingers 10:30 to 12:30 and was still very steady. Switched to 4 inch plugs for the last hour and still was productive
Yes it’s very good. Lots of bait around helpsWe were out for a few hours this morning as well and the bite was steady the entire time. Best part was no wind...what a morning!
Ahh the elusive Triple Header, all you need is a smoke hanging out your mouth at the same timeEpic fishing out there for Coho on Saturday at noon for the 2.5 hours before low tide. 60-75 was the sweet spot and we couldn’t keep the fish off the hooks, in fact I couldn’t even take a leak without getting interrupted, which caused a dilemma - finish or grab the rod?Lots of double headers, and a surprising amount of clipped fish. What a blast

When the coho are this hot, naked spoons or bucktails are all you need. Flashers not required.Just a very light tackle set up to match the fish size.

Yup nothing but spoons yesterday. It could’ve been a literal dining spoon and they would’ve probably been biting it. I’ve stopped using flashers in-line with my hooks and just use a dummy flasher off the downrigger. Way more fun and easier when a fish hits. When the coho are this hot, naked spoons or bucktails are all you need. Flashers not required.
