Great bite at the fingers this morning.

A lot of fun getting them using the 9 wt fly rods and the 175 old school Daiwa reels on mini flashers/hoochie setups.

Solid morning today. Limit of coho for 2 by 630am. Tackle, technique, location, gear, and depth irrelevant -- it all worked -- even the 6" thrift store plug.

Just a very light tackle set up to match the fish size.
At my advanced age using very light tackle options to catch fish is very attractive to me

How long of a leader do you run on that setup? I have a couple of mini flashers in the box somewhere, as well as some kite tails. Might lighten up for more sport as well.

Yeah, make it more sporting!

20 to 24 inches seems to work good. I don’t really troll all that must faster, maybe 2.5-2.7 knots.
