2025 Comox Valley-Comox Harbour, Kitty Coleman, Cape Lazo, Denman & Hornby Islands

I’m camped at kitty Coleman. Watching the 15 or so boats offshore, Talked to a few of them loading their boats and it sounded a bit quiet out there tonight.
( nice calm water conditions though )
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to catch anything casting from my paddle board tomorrow ??

For sure! I grew up camping and fishing out of kitty coleman in a 16 foot StarCraft with deep six and jigs. Make sure you have a pfd, leash and watch the wind, couple ladies were rescued by a tug earlier in the week. Makes me wish I still worked on the water…

Counted 24 boats out at C&B Wed eve, and everyone looked busy. We were hitting coho regardless of the depth from 70' to 230'. Definitely not complaining. Curious if anyone was landing anything else out there? Also lots of jumpers and schooled fish finning on the surface - maybe sockeye?

We fished C&B yesterday from about 8:30 to 3 , lots of action , lost a few at the boat first thing from an aggressive rodsman which could have been sockeye. Limit of springs for 3 guys, some pinks and released some really nice unclipped coho for us, hot but beautiful day on the water. The highlight was when a humpback and her calf surfaced no more than a hundred feet beside us out of no where.

Fished C&B the last two days. Still fish around down deep 270 -300 ft. We got a mixed bag of mature chinook, feeder springs and hatch coho. Army truck hootchie was working the best for us. Lots of bait around too.

Past 2 days at Kitty. Good slot sized springs in the boat almost immediately. A couple double headers were fun. One white spring...

Tried to change it up for coho, but picked up only a few wild coho and small springs, no marked coho. Had a big dogfish bite a small spring in half as we brought it to the boat, that was a first...
