I had a ton of action this spring and summer on a golden AP spoon...the last 79 cm spring mid July actually unfolded the stock split ring I couldn't believe it...or at the very least, he finished the job his buddies' started.

Boom!
way to document this. years ago i had several springs pull my bead chains apart at Maquinna point and no one believed me. AP spoons are no joke and Andrew uses quality hardware. man they can hit hard

About time I got back on the water. Over a year. Just busy I guess. And about time I report for my Friday morning fishing. We got our limit of springs for two licenses at the North edge of the T-10 pack. Released a just under and a couple of wild cohos. Lost a few nice ones but boxed two mid teens and two ten pounders. Biggest fish was white. All on green and whitish spoons, green and chartreuse flashers between 40 and 100 feet. Pretty easy fishing fun for an out of towner and his son.
Gonna go again on Thursday weather permitting!

Would like to try these one day, when fishing somewhere the salmon are eating full size herring:
Uniquely American using double action four to one retrieve reels ;) Super nice fish and very interesting herring teaser.

Lost one pin popper so far. Seen a ton of fish caught tho at T10.

Using anchovies 40-60.

But maybe don’t do what we’re doing?

I find fishing in the pack is unproductive anyway. I always catch my fish far from the pack, but the pack will sometimes move to your spot after seeing you land a fish or two, then you go back to where they were :p

We had a great first family outing up the Indian arm this weekend. The Grady didn’t disappoint and our little Charlie girl did fantastic for her first boat camping trip. We had a great time with friends at granite falls and managed to squeeze in some fishing near t10 on the way back to Milltown. Fished for 30 minutes with spoons, hoochies and anchovies and got one keeper real nice 71cm red meat. One big one broke one of the leaders, lost a couple others and caught two dog fish. Such a great way to finish off the long weekend for us. The fish were hitting everything we used and the hot depth for us seemed to be 87’. Some pics from our trip and Charlie’s first fish

Hope everyone has had a great long weekend and is catching lots of fish

Tight lines
Tom

Same program today. Lots and lots and lots of fish. Very short bites today so we've lost way more than the 6 we've kept. Smaller average size today and for some reason coho are now messing with our bait.
Any productive depths ? Lots of small fish released and lost a good one at the net .

Had two actually break the hook on my westcoast tackle spoons this summer at Ukee, and I run a light drag as I only run 25# test line on my reels. 1 broke the hook shaft just next to the eye and one eye must have opened or broke open and it was hookless when it cam to surface.
