I’m heading over to Thrasher rock this morning about halfway across the strait now. My fishing buddies are way behind schedule so I’m diverting over the entrance island and I’ll troll back along Gabriola towards Thrasher when those two Late starters get their boat in the water. Anybody got any good tips for that side of George Street? Is nobody fishing these days?! It's crunch time. I managed that one day and now I'm dead in the water again. Hoping to get fixed up, again, by the end of the week and put a solid couple weeks in.
Fish deep. I've had success in April fishing 200' plus.I’m heading over to Thrasher rock this morning about halfway across the strait now. Thanks for the tip. Blog few hours of fishing one undersize that’s it seems dead out here compared to how soundFish deep. I've had success in April fishing 200' plus.

I think have the same Garmin unit. Are you usually running 200khz at that depthDragged bottom from 12-3 near the QA bouy today. 2 hits one a nice chunky winter, lost the other but felt of about the same quality. beauty day till the wind came up and I pounded my way home View attachment 76671View attachment 76672View attachment 76673
Honestly I was just running that as it was the default setting and I was happy with the picture but running a lower frequency would give you a wider “cone” to see wider view which would maybe let you see your downriggers which I wasn’t picking up here but I didn’t mind as I mostly bounce the bottom this time of yearI think have the same Garmin unit. Gotcha. I usually stay on the med. Chirp setting and was curious if I should try that frequency.Honestly I was just running that as it was the default setting and I was happy with the picture but running a lower frequency would give you a wider “cone” to see wider view which would maybe let you see your downriggers which I wasn’t picking up here but I didn’t mind as I mostly bounce the bottom this time of year
