Dark colors on dark days and bright colors on bright days.Hey all, going out on the weekend does anyone have and tips or advice on how to actually catch fish on the lake. It has been more than a year since I have caught one.

Do you mind if I ask what general area of the lake you fish. We tried to go out Sunday at Summerland and it was blowing and whitecaps3 for 5 on Saturday. 4 for 8 on Sunday. Most fish coming on bucktails. Couple on plugs down deep. Biggest was a 21” fatty. Lost a big one on Saturday on a bucktail.
peachland, squally pt, antler beach and around bertram creek are the popular spots if heading out from westbank yacht clubDo you mind if I ask what general area of the lake you fish. We tried to go out Sunday at Summerland and it was blowing and whitecaps
That’s the thing. Both days were completely different areas. The trick is finding the fish and where they like to hold and that usually changes from day to day. I will say that I do launch from gelletly and fish as far north as traders cove and as far south as Greta ranch. As you can see in the pics, 2 totally different areas.Do you mind if I ask what general area of the lake you fish. We tried to go out Sunday at Summerland and it was blowing and whitecaps
That's the thing Ed, with okanagan being a large open lake for the most part the ley of the land doesnt play out too well to hide from those high winds and waves. Waiting it out sometimes is all you can do unless you have a larger boat like @Fisher_dude that can handle the swell or have auto pilot and a warm cabin to hide in lolThanks, I wasn't so much looking for your fishing spots as wondering what the water conditions were because it was ****** at Summerland
What's the new boat, and where you headingBoats loaded and ready to hit it up tomarrow. Gonna feel good to get the new boat out and shake off the cobwebs.
