Fishing Somewhere in Vancouver

Was out on Sunday with a few friends.

Hooked 3 Salmon - Lost one that looked like a keeper when it just fell off the hook. Released a nice Jack Chinook that measured out at 60.5 cm and finally boated a nice 14/15 pound White Chinook.

Rick with his fish.

All in all, it was a very slow day. Saw maybe 3 other fish brought to the boat, one kept, one released, and didn't see the fate of the 3rd fish.

Perhaps a little rain might stir things up. :p

was anyone out today off the cap mouth. looking to head out tomorrow and wondering if the fish started biting

Hey Jim, actually you forgot the 4th one on.....smaller one Rob lost on the 'double header' with the bigger chinook that was lost - that was hilarious as it jumped all over the place and as soon as it got off the hook (on a yet another jump) the other rod pounded off the clip ( Love the shot of Rick as it shows sort of how busy it was out there ) ...... Harbour Patrol was working it big time keeping people west of the light.

As sushi says , it was slow for late Sept.

I remember one year the fish being late at the Cap and we caught them till 2nd week of of Oct. so I ain't giving up quite yet. Going out Wednesday as looks like light winds.

kevin 008.jpgwe were out this morning and caught 3 coho and one 15lb chum. all were released and around 1130 we hooked into a 24lb white spring around the pink apt on a chrome teaser with a super betsy flasher. my fishing bud was very happy. we didnt see very many fish caught but the predator got a nice chum around 20lbs in the same area but by casting
